I strive to use all natural hair products for my family.  I have found a great all natural hair products for the kids and they love it.  For myself, I am still looking for something I like.  My hair is really thick and healthy, but it is also very dry.  When I condition my hair, it just soaks in like water and a sponge and it is even worse in the summer.  I also color my hair, so it is nearly impossible to find a great product for my hair that will hydrate as well as protect my color.  There are some things I am willing to skimp on and there are some things I am not.  My hair products are one area I will not compromise on.  I want to find a company that offers all natural and organic ingredients that is as passionate about saving our planet as they are about awesome hair care products.

Shielo is one of the best hair care companies on the market.  They were born in NYC in 2001 and was initially sold exclusively to upscale salons throughout the city.  In 2007, the demand for the products to be sold to individuals warranted expanding the line for salons as well as their customers.  The first product they made available was their Volume Collection and at the end of 2008, Shielo added their Color Protect line.  The Shielo products are all natural and are infused with organic botanicals from plants that are grown free of pesticides.  The packaging used is from post-consumer recycled materials which is great for our planet.  Each October, Shielo donates a portion of their proceeds for that month to the Breast Cancer Research Institute.

Salon Quality Hair Care Products

I want to be able to find salon quality hair care products that are also affordable.  I was offered the review on the Shielo shampoo ($16.00) and conditioner ($26.00) from the Hydrate line just as I was out of my shampoo!  Lucky me huh?! I love the smell of the shampoo and you only need a small amount to do the trick. Have you used a cheap shampoo that leaves your hair feeling like you didn’t get it all rinsed out?  The Shielo shampoo rinses out completely and my hair squeaked when I felt it!  The Hydrate conditioner is so amazing.  I have never had my hair feel so soft and it wasn’t weighed down like some conditioners make your hair feel.  I really do love this line of products and I bet you would too!
