We are women. Hear us roar. When you band a nation of strong, creative, talented women and then rally them together for an important cause – you will get results! American Cancer Society (ACS) is working hard to fight breast cancer with their Making Strides initiative. This nationwide breast cancer walk is striving to support those that have been affected, empower others, and cheer on survivors, all while fighting to end this disease.
We all have a story about how someone in our lives (or us) has been affected by breast cancer. So get out and make strides towards finding the cure! ACS Making Strides will be hosting walks all over the nation. Find out more information about a walk being held by you at the Making Strides website. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the American Cancer Society’s nationwide series of walking events to raise funds and awareness to end breast cancer.
What a great opportunity to grab your family and friends and join together to walk for an important cause. You can also work on keeping in shape while you hang out with your friends. We are walking with my local mom’s group to stand up for our moms, sisters, daughters and friends who have been affected by this horrible disease.
When you walk, you help to provide resources for the American Cancer Society to perform groundbreaking research to find, prevent, treat and cure breast cancer. You also help provide the means for the ACS to provide support to those newly diagnosed. One in every two women turn to the ACS for support after a diagnosis. The American Cancer Society also makes sure that every woman has access to mammograms who need them. Will you be making strides in your community?
