One of the things I enjoy doing for myself and for my family is to cook. I love to find new recipes and serve them to my husband and kids. Whenever possible, the kids will get in the kitchen and help me prepare meals, which is always fun. But, as much as we would love to cook a delicious meal every night of the week, that is not always possible. With kids, spouses, working, school and all the other activities we have in life, fast food has become a fixture for many.
It is so nice to be able to dive up or run in, order, grab it and get home to the family. You do not need to cook, there is very little clean up and you still get to hang out with the family. I can get really tired of the same old burger and fries, which is why I love to eat at Arby’s. Not only do they have a delectable variety on their menu, they are always coming up with new items for us to try. One of my latest obsessions is the new Arby’s Smokehouse Brisket Sandwich. Yum!
Delicious Fast Food
Back in 1964, Leroy and Forrest Raffel something different from the fast food burgers available. They decided to open up a sandwich shop in Boardman, Ohio that served hot, freshly sliced roast beef sandwiches. They were able to do this as fast as anyone could flip a burger and therefore revolutionized how people were seeing fast food. In just one year the shop was so popular they decided to franchise so others could enjoy the success and share the new sandwiches. In 1975, the iconic Arby’s hat got a fresh and sleek makeover, but the sandwich stayed strong in its original form. Soon they were adding additional choices like the Arby-Q in 1977 and the Beef ‘n Cheddar in 1978. Ever since, the folks at Arby’s have strived to bring their customers the same quality they have come to expect while always trying new food items.
The latest, and personally one of my newest favorites (we have already been to Arby’s twice this week), is the new Smokehouse Brisket sandwich. This mouthwatering delight is full of flavor from the meat to the smoky Gouda cheese. The brisket is smoked for no less than 13 hours to give it the rich, smoky and tender juicy flavor. It is topped with crispy onions, BBQ sauce and mayo, and served on a toasted, bakery-style bun. Oh boy is this baby delicious! I love how the Gouda adds a different flavor to the beef and then the crispy onions and sauce all melded together for one awesome sandwich. If you want a new sandwich you and your family will not be able to get enough of, you must head over to Arby’s for their new Smokehouse Brisket sandwich. You will be happy you did! Be sure to leave me a comment and tell me what you love about the sandwich if you have had one or why are you excited to try it if you have not had a chance.
