The dynamics of my home sure have changed since opening my Intel AIO HP Envy Rove 20 Computer 2 months ago! I become more and more impressed with the vivid screen, portability and battery life each time I turn it on. Not a night goes by that we don’t unplug and plop on the couch to explore something new on the Rove together.
The Windows Store is full of great apps and tons of different games, many priced right, at free! Lately, family game night has taken on a whole new meaning. We have spent some time getting hands on with some of the most popular Windows 8 AIO games and have come up with a list of the top games that my family just loves to play.
Our Favorite Family Game Apps
- Ruzzle: Ruzzle has the feel of Boggle meets Scrabble, except high tech and fast paced. The game can be played against strangers or you can select from a friends list. This game is perfect to play against my husband, who is a super competitive opponent. The object is to create as many words as possible from a grouping of 16 letters given a 2 minute time frame. We are able to play Ruzzle on the split screen function since the Intel Rove AIO has a 10 point multi touch capacitive screen. Let’s just say things get intense during those 2 minutes!
- Minion Rush: This game was a hit before we even downloaded it because, well, it had Minions! This is definitely a game that we can play with Aidan and that makes everyone happy. “Wooow! Pretty!” would be a 2 year old’s description of the vibrant, colorful graphics in this game. The object of this game is to collect as much bananas as possible. It wasn’t long before Aidan caught on and was making his minion jump, roll and dodge the obstacles along the way.
- Bejeweled Live: Bejeweled is my mommy go to game. It has been around for as long as I can remember, yet still as addictive as the first time I played it on my clunky desktop. It is my solitary game, and better yet, completely mindless. It is the one game I can count on to help me unwind after a long day working and being a mom. I can bring my huge “tablet” to the couch and play while the hubby watches whatever sports are on that night. Now that is fair!
