Have you seen the cool sustainable furniture that is available right now?  If you aren’t familiar with sustainable furniture, it is made from recycled, re-purposed and/or renewable materials which are safer for the environment.  Since many people are interested in going green as they say, you need to educate yourself about what you can do to help protect our environment.  I think many people, including myself, want to do their part in being Eco-Friendly, but aren’t sure what they can do or think they need to make huge changes in order to make a contribution.  To bust the myths, I am going to try and give you some ideas that will help you.  If you want to recycle, call and ask if there is free pick-up or a drop off that is nearby.  You can use reusable shopping bags to replace the plastic bags we usually get and you can buy a filter for your water instead of bottled water.  These are simple steps for you to get started.  I already do that you say?  Good for you!  Now you can take another step.  Look into sustainable furniture, which covers a huge variety of pieces to incorporate into your home and many are quite affordable.

Unique Eco Friendly Furniture

Another thing I have noticed about green companies is they usually offer many pieces of unique Eco Friendly furniture.  Way Basics has some really cool designs and I am in love with all of them!  You can get individual storage cubes, storage benches and bookcases and many more items.  I was offered the Soho Shelf in Espresso ($65.00) to review and it is really neat.  The shelf (or bookcase as I call it) is so easy to assemble.  The kids were able to put it together in less than 10 minutes.  We decided to give Henry the bookcase as he has nowhere to store his large collection of books and video games.  The Soho Shelf is perfect for his room and his needs.  It just adds a really cool look to his room and I am thrilled with how it looks.  I wanted to mention Deborah, who is a representative of Way Basics.  We had a few kinks we had to work out and she was with me the entire way.  She worked tirelessly to make sure we got the perfect item for the review and I think without her, we would not have been as pleased as we are.  So, Deborah, I thank you for your sweetness and your execs at Way Basics should be proud to have such a professional and kindhearted woman representing their company!
