Nutrisystem Bar

I think the hardest thing that I deal with when trying to lose weight is controlling my cravings. They are always really weird ones too. Like my latest craving that I have had has been for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Let me tell you why that is so weird: I HATE peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They are gross, and gooey, and on bread, and my mom GAVE THEM TO ME EVERY DAY for lunch when I was growing up. The only way that I like them is if they are on pancakes and then we are talking a whole new ball game. Yes weird, doesn’t make sense, I get it. We are speaking Jennifer logic here, so don’t worry about it and try to follow along.

It starts with my kids, and my brain. They want peanut butter and jelly. I want what I can’t have. Plain and simple, and borderline psychotic considering I hate peanut butter and jelly. But now I want it. I obsess over it. It has become really, really hard for me not to just make a sandwich. I know me though, and if I give in, soon I will be eating peanut butter and jelly ice cream (because all of my roads lead to ice cream!) So what do I do?

I joined Nutrisystem! I was on their program previously, and I lost about 15 pounds. I have 15 more to go until I am at my ideal weight. I tried a few other programs, and I just wasn’t happy with the product or the results. I went back to where I had my previous success. I know that when I was on Nutrisystem before, I didn’t crave anything because I wasn’t starving or cutting out any food groups. I was allowed to have several different “foods I crave” and still lose weight. I can have ice cream, whoopie pies, cookies, chips, popcorn and more. As a matter of fact, guess what I had for lunch today? A chocolate raspberry bar which is as close as I ever want to get to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I mean what would my mom say if she saw that I was eating the very thing I complained about for 10 years (okay I still complain about it – so make that 30+ish)…good thing I have Nutrisystem now!
