I have been stuck on finding a company that makes custom made laptop cases.  I am relatively new to the world of laptops, so I am still learning about the accessories that are available.  I was a desk top girl until a few years ago, so I guess I am considered a “newbie” when it comes to laptops.  When I started nursing school in 2009, I found out pretty quickly that my desk top computer was not going to cut it for studying, etc.  My decision was made when a friend from school brought her laptop to class and typed her notes instead of using long hand.  I can type about 80 words a minute and with arthritis in my writing hand, a laptop was a godsend.  What I found quickly was the need for a laptop sleeve or case to carry it on school days.  With only one income, I didn’t want to buy a carrying case, so I just used my backpack.  That worked fine until my backpack finally fell apart right after I graduated last year.  The loss of my backpack renewed my search for a case for my laptop.

While looking online for a carrying case, I came across the best company that makes custom laptop sleeves and cases.  Snupped is a company in Singapore that was founded in 2008 by two guys who have been friends since they were kids.  By taking a curtain and fashioning a laptop sleeve from it, Bryan and Darcy were on the way to starting their own company.  Both of them had a head for business and after tossing around the idea of opening their own company, Snupped was born!  Darcy and Bryan knew they didn’t want to outsource their manufacturing to a factory, so they decided each item they sold would be made by hand.  Take a minute and think about that.  In a world where the personal element had almost become extinct, it is refreshing to find a company that is 100% committed to giving you the personal touch.  I love that these young entrepreneurs didn’t take the easier path to making their product.  It may take a bit longer, but boy is it worth the wait!!  Check out Snupped on Facebook and Twitter.

Design Your Own Laptop Sleeve

I was so excited that Snupped allowed you to design your own laptop sleeve.  Snupped gives you the freedom to choose every aspect of your laptop sleeve or case.  I have shopped other companies that allows you to pick the fabric but that is where your customization journey ends.  With my Snupped case I was given the opportunity to choose my fabric for the outside, inside, if I wanted handles or not and even the type fit for my case I wanted.  I love that you can even choose to have a snug fit or a loose fit.  I had a case that was very snug, so there was no room to put my cords in the bag and I had to carry my cords separately.  I finally decided on the Binte-ji Chourui Red fabric for the outside, the black polka dotted daze for the lining, handles and the loose fit ($34.90).  I must tell you that you will not believe how Ah-Mazing the bags from Snupped are.  The fabric they use is very high quality, the colors are bright and cheerful, the zipper is nice and sturdy and the handles are sewn on nice and tight so you won’t worry of them coming loose.  I am so in love with my Snupped bag and am going to have them create a bag for the kids and their laptops.  I won’t go anywhere else for my laptop sleeves because not only are they great looking, but they are made with love and it shows.  Thanks to Darcy and Bryan and their team for offering such a unique and meaningful product in a world where that is unfortunately hard to find anymore.
