Decorative Pillow Covers
If you have early Spring fever and want an inexpensive way to freshen up any room, you can buy decorative pillow covers. I love funky and unusual prints that aren’t so “matchy-matchy” with my decor.  If you want to add some sass to a room by using a vibrant color like lime green pillow on a dark hued purple comforter.  I do have one slight road-block in my quest to decorate with quirky accents and that would be my husband. My darling hubby has a palette for decorating that match his taste in cuisine…BORING!!
I was instantly attracted to the home decor items offered by Saffron and Marigold. This company has lovely prints in a variety of beautiful colors ranging from subtle to vibrant. This fair-trade company commissions local artisans from India to hand-decorate their linens with hand carved wooden blocks and local dyes.  Each piece may follow a basic design but with use of natural ingredients from the surrounding villages and the changing weather conditions, each piece is unique. Not only are you able to buy an item that gives back to the local people in India, but you are also buying a product that no one on the planet will own!
Accent Pillow Covers
I was contacted by Saffron and Marigold to review accent pillow covers from their distinctive collection of linens. My husband and I looked through their large variety of prints and were united in our choice of the Ocean Breezes collection. I was able to find pillow covers in a funky print and my husband was able to get the earthy colors he prefers. When I the pillow covers arrived , I put them on our chocolate brown sofa immediately. They were absolutely perfect!! The fabric is 100% cotton that is pre-shrunk before the artisans begin printing on the fabric with their hand-carved blocks and local dyes. The result is simply gorgeous.
