Easter Basket Filler Ideas

I have always had a huge sweet tooth and I know who I got it from; my mom! I cannot get enough of anything chocolate, especially cakes, cookies or brownies. Oh and ice cream is good too!! The weird thing is my kids are not huge sweet eaters, which makes Halloween all the more awesome for me because I get their candy haul! When it comes to the kids Easter baskets, I only put one sweet something and then the rest is non-candy fun. Because we are huge Charlie Brown fans, I thought this Peanuts inspired Easter basket filler ideas would be great for my kids as well as yours!

Peanuts Surprise Slides Game: This cute game, which retails for $15, has all the elements of a fun filled family game night. This game reminds me a bit of a cross between Chutes and Ladders and Candyland but with the characters from Peanuts. You will weave your way around the four seasons, but watch out for the switch-eroo. If you land on the purple paw, you flip your season cards upside down to move ahead or be left behind.

It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown: This book with sounds and music will have the kids laughing and asking you to read it to them over and over. The book has Peppermint Patty yelling “Argh” at Marcy and Linus declaring the Easter Beagle is the real deal. You can find this book at Walmart for $18.
