Deep Fried Chili Balls Recipe
If a chili has beans in it, it is not chili* (It's stew) - Sheldon
  • 15 ounce can of chili*
  • ½ lb ground meat
  • 1 bag of crushed tortilla chips
  • 2 t chili powder
  • ¾ t salt
  • Sour cream as garnish
  • Vegetable oil for the fryer
  1. Mix the drained, cooked meat with the can of chili, chili powder, and salt
  2. Add in 1 cup of crushed chips
  3. Place the remaining chips in a shallow dish
  4. Roll the mixture in 1 inch balls
  5. Coat the balls in the crushed chips and lay on parchment paper
  6. Refrigerate for 1 hour
  7. Heat deep fryer to 375 degrees
  8. Fry each batch of chili balls for around 2 minutes
