I absolutely love most anything that is hand made. I think because my kids are all artists, I have a deep appreciation for art and the hard works that goes into it. Chelsea has her degree in Graphic Design and when I see her portfolio, I get chills because she is that good. I know you are thinking that is because I am her mom, which is true, but she has received many non relative accolades for her work as well! I also love pottery and have a small collection of some unique items. I got this addiction from my older sister who collects hand made masks made from pottery. She has built quite a cool collection over the years and it is so breathtaking to look at. While I was browsing through Etsy not too long ago, I came across a shop that has truly unique pieces of hand made pottery. Nancy from White Earth Studio has a true gift with her hands and it comes through in her work.

I took a pottery class and I can assure you that I stank. Thankfully it was a non credit class or I would have flunked. Caitlin is actually pretty good with the wheel and has made some cool stuff at school. I think I have always admired people who can make something out of pottery that you can actually tell what it is. It is truly an artistic gift and one woman who totally has that gift is Nancy Mosebroten. Nancy has been making unique hand made pottery, ceramics and porcelain for decades and is quite talented. her intricate attention to detail sines through in her work. Nancy has been featured in local shows and has taught her craft as well.

One of her best selling items is the White Pottery Tea Light Holder, which is what I was sent. The delicate flowers are individually made and are formed into a graceful dome. Nancy also sent an electric tea light, which when is turned on and placed under the holder, it shines a soft and beautiful light. Henry fell in love with it when we first got it and he put it in the kitchen so everyone could see it when they first come into the house. He also faithfully lights it up at night so he can use it as a night light! I have also taken a shine to the holder and it makes me smile every time I see it!
