Following in the success of the most recent film Game Time: Tackling the Past, the newest P&G and Wal-Mart Family Movie Night collaboration Game of Your Life premieres Friday, December 2 at 8/7c on NBC. I was one of the lucky ones that was chosen to be able to see the sneak peek of the movie!
When high school gamer Zach Taylor lands a scholarship to an exclusive video game design program led by billionaire gaming icon Marcus Bentton, his future takes a promising turn… as long as he can survive the intense freshmen project that eliminates half of the class in the first three months. Teamed up with determined group leader Sara and his brilliant yet socially awkward roommates, Donald and Phillip, the four set out to involve the entire campus in a quirky new social interactive game. As the project intensifies, Zach learns that his father is in financial trouble. Distracted and desperate to help, he accepts an opportunity to work with Bentton on a secretive and suspicious side project. Zach finds himself stretched to his limits and torn between his responsibility to the team and his desire to help his father. With nowhere else to turn, he confides in Professor Abbie Lambert and is forced to make a decision that will affect his future and the lives of everyone around him.
Family Movie Night
You have to check out the official Family Movie Night website and you can follow them on the Family Movie Night Facebook page. The movie was really neat. My kids and I sat and watched it this afternoon. It was nice to have a family-friendly movie that had a good story line for adults as well. Zach is a high school kid that is uber smart, and he has a dream scholarship to a video design program. He is on the leading team, and all seems to be going very well; but then, Zach is faced with choices. Tough choices for a young teen, and it kind of has an after school special appeal to it. This really sits well with me because so many movies have violence and sexual innuendos these days.  Game of Your Life was a refreshing change of pace and a decent movie for the entire family to enjoy. It also captivated my attention as an adult, so I was not thoroughly bored while sharing family time with my kids.
Family movie night is an important event in my household. It is a time where we can all come together and take some breathe time. My kids cuddle with me, and we chomp on some popcorn. It is the icing on a perfect date with my kids when the movie is one we all truly enjoyed! I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of P&G and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
