Ray Lopez penned the car-buying guide, “Inside The Minds Of Car Dealers-How To Buy Your Next Car Without Fear” to help the average car-buying person from being manipulated into buying the car the dealer wants you to buy at the price the dealer says you can afford. When I read this book, I was amazed at all the psychological tricks that car dealers play on you to get you to buy a car at a higher rate all the while making you feel good about spending the extra money. I looked back to the cars that I had bought and saw many of the ploys having been made on me! I wish I would have read this book sooner and saved myself some money or in a few cases not have bought the car at all. There is an amazing mount of knowledge that a car dealer knows, and an amazing amount of preparation he has armed himself with in order to sell you a car. It seem only fair that we as consumers have a resource to help even out the playing field. Ray has a very light-hearted, easy-to-read writing style that actually made me sit down and read the book cover-to-cover in one sitting. I enjoyed his anecdotes and was amused by many of the tactics he revealed. I now feel more knowledgeable about the car buying process and will feel confident in a making a good deal when buying our next car. Have a question?
