There is a lot of preparation which goes into running a marathon. When you are staring down the idea of completing a 26.2 mile course you will run on your own, it can seem daunting. There is more to getting ready for this race than being able to run that length. There is also mental preparation which is key to being successful in successfully finishing the race. If you think about it, parenting can be a bit like training for and running a marathon. When you are taking care of yourself as well as your family and keeping everyone healthy, it can feel like a marathon. What do you do to fuel your daily marathon? One of the ways my family and I fuel ours are with a fresh fruit smoothie using Stonyfield organic yogurt.
Speaking of marathons, Stonyfield is the official yogurt sponsor for the 2014 Boston Marathon. Because there were so many sign ups this year, many runners were not able to get a number for the race. Stonyfield is giving 10 runners the chance to run the race by sending them to the Boston Marathon! During the race, Stonyfield is going to hand out hundreds of thousands of cups of their organic yogurt on race day. The yogurt will be available to the runners, their families, and volunteers. In addition, Stonyfield will be giving away a lot of great prizes on the day of the marathon. You can win such healthy living prizes like a year long gym membership by using #StonyfieldSuperFan on Twitter and Instagram.
Stonyfield organic yogurt has a wide variety of yogurts including Greek, blends, fruit on the bottom, and smooth and creamy. If you want your Stonyfield yogurt on the go, you can grab a bottle of one of their smoothies or a YoKid yogurt pouch. They have delicious flavors like Banilla, Chocolate Underground, Black Cherry and my favorite, Pomegranate Raspberry Acai. I love how my family gets such a delicious and healthy snack which is packed with protein, fiber, great taste and zero fat! Here is my recipe for a Fresh Fruit Stonyfield Yogurt Smoothie, which is how I fuel my body several times a week. Be sure to stay current with the latest from Stonyfield by following them on Twitter and Pinterest.
