We all know boys and girls are different, but why is that? Of course they are physically different, but what about the things that seems to come naturally to them? A recent medical study showed that girls are more interested in faces and people right from the start. This may explain why they prefer to play with dolls or play “house”. Boys are less interested in people, which is most likely why they like to play with trucks, cars and other inanimate objects. As they get older, their play is much different from one another, both with physical activated and pretend play. Girls prefer to play with other girls, often one on one and like to dress up, act like a mommy or a teacher. Boys on the other hand like to play in larger groups where the play is rougher and more gregarious. If they are going to have pretend play, they usually gravitate towards a more physical scenario. Whenever Henry and my friend’s son Adam get together, they are playing war, ninjas or TMNT, which is their favorite cartoon. Lucky for them we have access to the “for real” TMNT toys and accessories from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles section found on the TV Store Online website.
Fun Gear For Pretend Play For Boys
Henry has always been fascinated with the quartet of animated hard shell characters from the cartoon. He has a blanket, pillow case, stuffed toy, coloring books, regular books and a ton of other Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle paraphernalia. We recently had Adam over for a few days and they pretended they were Donatello (Donny) and Michelangelo (Mikey). Henry loves Donny because “He is the smartest turtle and always knows what to do in a situation.” Adam likes Mikey “Because he loves Pepperoni pizza as much as I do and because he is cool.” The TMNT line of toys and accessories from the TV Store Online are the perfect fun gear for pretend play for boys.
We recently received the TMNT backpack as well as the Combat Gear Accessory Pack. Henry had been watching the mail like a hawk, so when the box came, he tore it open like it was on fire! He immediately pulled out the backpack and slipped it on, put on the purple mask, grabbed his stuffed Donny and was “off on an important turtle adventure” in seconds. We did not see him emerge from his bedroom for 2 hours, which is incredible considering he was playing with his new TMNT toys exclusively! I love that the back pack is made really, really well. The “shell” is nice and sturdy and the straps are sewn tightly, so you know they are not going to pop off. The accessories are made with a nice and sturdy plastic so they will not break the minute the kids touch them. Even the masks are made from a nice medium weight fabric that can take some rough play and be just fine. You can purchase these items from the TMNT section of the TV Store Online website along with other TV shows like The Big Bang Theory, Alvin and the Chipmunks and tons of other shows and movies. The backpack sells for $34.99 and the Combat Gear for $15.99.
One USA winner will win a TMNT Backpack ($34.99) and one Combat Gear ($15.99)
