Fun Small Kitchen Appliances
There are a ton of reasons why you need fun small kitchen appliances in your home. If you have kids and it is summer, that is a combination for lots and lots of popsicles, slushies and freezer pops. I don’t know about you but I cannot afford to keep my freezer stocked with store bought frozen treats. From an adult stand point, we are similar in our desires for frozen treats during the hot months, but some of us may want to add a little grown up juice to it! Again, don’t know about you, but I cannot afford the time or money to get a tasty margarita from the local eatery. So what is the solution? Duh..make your own!!
If you have not heard of Wayfair, one of the largest online shopping sites, I can only assume you have been out of the country or living on Mars for the past several years. With over 5,000 brands of products for every room in the home, this is THE place to go. With their wide selection comes a top notch customer service department as well as prices that cannot be beat. In 2002, Steve Conine started his own company called Racks and Strands in the nursery of his home. By 2003, he moved his operations into a 1,000 sq.ft. office and his 2 employee operation grew to 15 and their annual sales jumped about 20 times over from 85K to 4.5Mand from 1,667 customers t0 28,00. Fast forward to now and you will see that Wayfair has exploded into a force to be reckoned with. Now Wayfair has 600+ employees, 380M in sales and 4.8M customers. I have never seen such an impressive increase in such a short period of time. You can find the best products that are made with the finest materials so you can rest assured you are getting your money’s worth. To learn more about Wayfair, you can like them on Facebook, follow them on Twitter and pin them on Pinterest.
Homemade Slushies For Kids
When I saw that Wayfair carried a variety of kitchen items, I was hoping I would find one that made homemade slushies for kids. The Nostalgia Electrics Margarita and Slush Maker ($49.99) was the perfect choice for my family. The kids could made slushies of any flavor they could think of and I could make grown up slushies with the finest top shelf ingredients without paying an arm and a leg. The machine takes just a few minutes to put together and it is very easy to operate. I let Caitlin make fruit punch slushies for her and Henry. We just tossed in a few handfuls of small ice cubes, added the juice and hit the switch. Within seconds, you have a professional looking slushies for a fraction of the cost. When my oldest daughter comes for a visit next month, I think I am going to christen the machine with some of my good friend Mr. Patron!!
