Funky Mixed Media Art
I absolutely love to find funky mixed media art for myself as well as gifts for family and friends . Mixed media art is the use of more than one art material in a piece of art. An example would be glue and paper on wood for decoupage. I recently met Trudy Hylant, a self-taught artist from Florida. Trudy’s personality is as spirited and fun loving as her artwork. Trudy has two Etsy shops where you can find her artwork. Her original paintings, prints, and fine art photography are found at one while her decorative mannequins are found at the other. Trudy has been decoupaging since 1965 and belongs the National Guild Of Decoupeurs and Decoupage Artists World-Wide. Trudy recently gained national attention from Levi Strauss and Chris Chang, a judge on Project Runway China. Chang has ordered several of Trudy’s Painted Ladies for her couture shop and Levi Strauss has done the same for several of their stores.
