Get A Good Nights Sleep

It is hard to get a good night’s sleep if you don’t have the right tools.   You need to have a mattress that supports you, comfortable sheets, your favorite quilt and of course, a good pillow!  If you don’t have a good pillow, not only can you get a poor night’s sleep, but you can also have neck and back problems from you not getting enough support for your head and neck.  When you don’t have enough or the correct support for your pillow, your neck and/or back can get out of alignment and that is very painful.  I have had that happen and the only thing you can do is take muscle relaxers, aspirin and heat until it works itself out.  Not fun, I assure you.  I have had the hardest time finding a good pillow that I like.  Granted, I am buying them at the discount store so I am getting what I pay for and it isn’t a lot!!  It seems silly now that I think about it.  If keeping your body aligned so you are well rested and pain free, then shouldn’t we spend a bit extra for a good pillow?
Pacific Pillows is a company that carries luxury hotel bedding, including comforters, mattress toppers and pillows.  You can find the Pacific Pillows products in well-known hotels like the Hyatt ®, Marriott ®, Hilton, and Ritz-Carlton ®.  I like the fact that famous hotels are buying the same bedding products that you or I could buy.  It is kind of cool if you think about it!  The bedding featured on the Pacific Pillows website is also made by well-known manufacturers like Martex, Westpoint and DuPont.  I have only spent one night in a well-known hotel and that was on my wedding night.  I do remember commenting that I had never slept on sheets and pillows that were as nice as what we had in our room.  We did contemplate stealing the pillows, but they wouldn’t fit in the suitcase!! (jk).  If Pacific Pillows carries anything even close to the bedding at the Ritz Carlton, then I am all about getting myself some!

Finding The Right Pillow

Finding the right pillow is not as easy to do as you would think.  There are a lot of choices and I am very confused by them!  You can get soft, firm, down, goose, etc.  What is the best choice for me and how do I know it will work for me?  My contact at Pacific Pillows, Shanah,  was so helpful in finding the perfect pillow for me.  Did you know it matters if you are a side or back sleeper when it comes to choosing your pillow?  Me neither!  Shanah was so great and she suggested I try the Pillowtex Triple Core White Duck Down and Feather Pillow (whew! Say that 10 times really fast!!).  Before I received my Pillowtex pillow ($49.99), I had been waking up with a crick in my neck and I was stiff for about 30 minutes or so after I woke up.  I LOVE my Pillowtex pillow that Shanah chose for me!  It is firm, which I needed but it is so comfortable.  Believe it or not, I have never had a down or feather pillow before and I am so fortunate to have one.  I promise that when I woke up in the morning after the first night with my new pillow I had no pain or stiffness whatsoever!  It was amazing.  Shanah, I am so grateful for your help and I hope you show your boss this review so you can get a big raise!!
