Giving In To Your Sweet Tooth
I am on the start of week 7 , and this week I am going to talk about giving in to your sweet tooth while on the Medifast plan. I am down 13.5 pounds, and this program has been such a blessing. There are days I can’t believe I am even on a “diet”. That is because I am not on a diet, but am embarking on a journey to change the way I look at food as well as living a more healthy life. I am 50 today (yikes) and for the first time in 20 years, I can visualize myself as a slimmer and healthier me that I deserve to be.
I have a HUGE sweet tooth and I have a hard time saying no (obviously). What I LOVE about the Medifast plan is that I can order whatever I like and many of the choices have a sweetness factor that has curbed my desire to cheat. This morning I had the chocolate chip pancakes with sugar free syrup and they are fantastic!! With the chocolate chips and the syrup, I have satisfied my cravings without compromising my weight loss.
Like a clumsy oaf, I fell and sprained my ankle and my shoulder, so I have not been able to exercise. I am on the road to recovery, so my exercise plan can be implemented by the first of the year (crossing fingers). If I am losing 1-2 pounds per week, can you imagine how much the exercise will add to that? If I am able to walk 3-4 days per week, I bet I can lose an extra ½ to 1 pound each week. If I keep up with this pace, I may be at my weight loss goal in time to wear shorts for the first time in 10 years!!! Next week, we are talking about the newest addition to the Medifast food program: creamy and delicious mac and cheese!!
