Around this household my kids wear Tea Collection. It is clothing that makes them look good; and when they look good, I look good! It is back-to-school season, so most moms are worried about what to get and if their kids will be comfortable and stylish. You never have to worry about either with Tea! The clothing is lightweight and super durable. As a matter of fact, I have passed Jakobi’s Tea Collection outfits down to Mason, who has in turn passed his down to Tristan, and next they will go on to cousin Aiden. That is durability!
Global Inspired Clothing
Tea Collection creates a unique brand of global inspired clothing. Each year the Tea design team travels to an international destination, to learn of its culture, beauty and style. It then incorporates that into a collection of clothing. From the totemic art and architecture of Barcelona to the expressive brashness of the Brazilian street graffiti, they interpret their unique styles for children, ages 0-12.
The boys section of clothing gives you a wide variety of styles to choose from, such as tees, tops, pants, hoodies, pajamas, shoes, and more. But they also make shopping very easy by offering a complete outfits section. This section outfits your boys in everything from the shirt on down to the shoes. This is a great way to get just the look you want without having to search around for the individual items.
Tea was founded in 2002 in San Francisco, and started with only 3 pima cotton baby sweaters. Initial designs of their baby sweaters were inspired by classic Asian styles and colors. Having already had a vision of wanting to meld cultures throughout the world and modern design in to children’s fashion. In the fall of 2010 they launched their Women’s collection, which is made in the same spirit.
Clothing Made of Natural Fibers
Co-founder, Emily Meyer, refined her sewing and design hobby growing up, learning to appreciate quality fabrics that took a lot of wear and tear as well as fabrics that would feel soft and cozy to the most sensitive of skin. That is why their clothing is made of natural fibers such as softest pima cotton and luxurious merino wool.
Since Tea knew they wanted to create globally inspired clothes, they also knew they wanted to make this journey with a non-profit partner who shared their same values and beliefs. They especially wanted to partner with an organization that celebrated cultures from around the world, particularly one who worked with young children. It was not long before they were contacted by The Global Fund for Children. Tea donates funds to The Global Fund for Children through several special sales throughout the year and through GFC days they host several times a year as well.
