Gifts For Book Lovers

I am always on the lookout for gifts for book lovers in my circle of family and friends.  My mother instilled a love of books in me and my sister and I have done the same for my kids.  Caitlin ALWAYS has a book in her hand and it drives my husband crazy! Literally, she will take her book into the grocery store and read as she walks beside me.  How she has saved herself from knocking a mountain of cans down is beyond me!  I know books always make a great gift, but I want to do awesome, not great.  Here is some great recommendation I found while browsing the internet:

Good Chirstmas Gifts For Book Lovers

  • Goodie Basket:  A basket filled with the latest mystery novel, coffee mug, biscotti and a gift card to Starbuck’s would be greatly appreciated by any bookie (you know, like foodie, but for books?!) on your list.
  • Bookmark:  Any avid reader would appreciate an elegant bookmark.  There are so many options that you are sure to please your gift recipient.  What about a beautiful metal bookmark with the reader’s initials engraved on it?  For the younger reader, a bookmark of their favorite character would be fun.
  • Display it:  Many book lovers I know have a ton of books, but nowhere to store them.  You can find beautiful bookcases or even a nightstand that has room for up to 10 books.  If you really want to give something completely unique, I know just the thing.  Litographs is an innovative and beautiful way to display your favorite book rather than store it.  The creative genius behind Litographs has designed a way to fit an ENTIRE book on one poster!  I know..right?  BRILLANT!!

Unique Wall Art

Unique Wall Art

If you are looking for unique wall art for yourself or someone you care for, the offerings from Litographs is there for you!  Who would have thought you could fit a completely legible and entire text of a classic book onto a poster?  This is by far one of the most unusual and rare gift that combines art with reading and the result is just magnificent.  Lucky for me, Litographs had the favorite books of both of my girls.  Chelsea loves Lewis Carrols “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and Caitlin loves The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.  Most of the 24×36 prints from Litographs are $29 and comes in color or black and white. When I received the prints, I could not wait to see them and they were way cooler in person!  Caitlin recognized the symbol from the Secret Garden and it was funny to see her face as she realized the picture was actually made from the words of the book.  I am hanging on to Chelsea’s for Christmas, but I know she will absolutely love it. For the book lover on your list, I bet Litographs has a book poster they will really enjoy and you are guaranteed there will be no duplicates of this gift.

The Secret Garden
One reader will win a Litograph print of their choice ($29.00)
