Low Calorie Banana Split Recipe

I have always had a sweet tooth, which I totally blame on my dad! He was always eating something sweet and would share it with my sister and I. For some reason, dad never seemed to show the effects of eating all that ice cream, cookies, doughnuts and candy. I, on the other hand, have always struggled with my weight. I have decided I have carried this extra weight for far too long and need to make changes. I have started eating organic, Non-GMO, no red meats, and plenty of fruits and vegetables. I do miss my ice ream and have not found a good substitute until I discovered the amazing Yonanas! Instead of throwing away those bananas that are too ripe to eat, you can turn them into a yummy frozen treat. Who knew you could make a delicious frozen treat that tasted just like the real thing but was made from healthy fruit?!

The Yonanas is so easy to use, the kids can operate it with no problems. I love this because when they get home from school and want something sweet and cold, they can reach for the Yonanas machine. The recipes for Yonanas are dairy free and the machine blends the fruit into a delicious dessert which is just like soft serve ice cream without the calories! You can have it anytime of the day or night without feeling guilty! I feel like I am cheating on my diet when I am actually sticking to it! If you find it difficult to get those servings of fruit into your diet, this is the perfect way to do it!

You can buy the Yonanas basic machine for $60 at Walmart, Kohl’s, Best Buy and many other retailers. The Elite, which comes in black or red, sells for $130. Be sure to look for the Yonanas Frinkles, which are 100% fruit sprinkles for your Yonanas treats! They come in such yummy flavors as Berry Blast, Raspberry Lemon, Cranberry Pomegranate and Tropical Fruit. We decided to make a Yonanas version of the traditional Banana Split Recipe in honor of National Banana Split Day! We just put our spotted ripe bananas in the freezer along with our frozen strawberries. We alternated the frozen bananas with the fruit or chocolate and within seconds, we had a bowl of this perfectly healthy dessert!

Although the recipe called for pineapples, we do not care for them, so we just substituted 2 bananas instead. The kids could not believe how close to soft serve ice cream the Yonanas Banana Split tasted. When my husband came home from work, they were jumping up and down telling him all about it and offered to make one for him! What a great treat to have after a long hard day at work! You can see how delicious and easy the Yonanas machine is because one lucky USA reader will win one for themselves (ARV $60). Be sure to follow Yonanas on Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and Pinterest.

Look at how incredibly simple it is to use the Yonanas machine and all the great treats you can make!
