One the greatest challenges we face as parents is getting our kids to eat right. We’ve had it easy up until lately. We made all of our own baby food when our child was small, so naturally she was more accepting of different foods as she got older. The things we made for her were like things you would find in a fancy bistro. Butternut squash with blueberries and chicken and broccoli were two the favorites. August is kids eat right month. PediaSure is issuing the challenge to all parents to show their kids what it means to eat right. So here’s a few ideas to get you started on how to get kids to eat right for life.

Ways To Get Kids To Eat Right

  • Keep A Schedule: From my personal experience, the most common phrase out of my kids mouth is “I’m Hungry”. It’s the first thing I hear in the morning and one of the last things I hear at bedtime. Keeping them on a schedule is crucial. It’s good for them. They will eat non stop if you let them, we all know where that leads.
  • Limit The Options: While keeping the meals healthy, it’s important to keep the snacks as healthy as possible as well. Only offer the really bad snacks that they always want during special occasions. This establishes a pattern that will follow them through life.
  • Make The Good Stuff Fun & Delicious: The easiest way to kids to eat right is to get them involved and make the whole experience fun and delicious. There are many ways to make fruit and vegetables taste good.  PediaSure is offering up an easier and more fun way to do it with their SideKick Fruit & Veggie Smoothie Mix.

August is Kids Eat right Month. PediaSure is issuing the challenge to all parents to get their kids on the right track with their eating habits as we head back into the school season. One of the most crucial times that they will need all the proper nutrients and vitamins is school time. This gives them all the fuel and energy they will need for a full day of learning. One my favorite breakfasts to make for my kid to get her ready for the day is some whole oatmeal made with fresh fruit and milk. This fills her up right and gives her the energy she needs. Not to mention she loves it.

  1. I saw a commercial on TV about Pediasure, but I’ve never had my kids try it. I only heard that it was really good. I’m kind of scared though for me kids to try new things. I’ll have to ask my sister about Pediasure, I think her kids drink it.
