How To Keep Your Kids Healthy

As any parent, I am always concerned that I am doing all I can to keep my kids healthy. I try to hit all of the food groups when I cook and make sure they brush after. I kiss boo boos and take them to the doctor when I am told and make sure they get enough sleep at night. We have been blessed with pretty healthy kids and have not had any major illnesses with either of them. The one thing I do have a problem with is getting them to take their vitamins. Caitlin, who is almost 15, thinks she is “too old” to take vitamins and Henry cannot swallow pills. With Henry’s autism, we have always had an issue with his swallowing. At the age of almost 12, we still find ourselves reminding him to take small bites and to cut his grapes before he eats them. As far as taking medicine, vitamins or anything similar, we struggle big time. When I heard about alternaVites, a multi vitamin in powdered form, I could not wait to try them.

Since we cannot get all the vitamins and minerals we need from our food, we need to take supplements. We thought we could get Henry to take gummy vitamins, but they tasted awful and he spit them out. I tried one and I do not blame him. It was gross! It is hard to know how to keep your kids healthy when most products do not work for you. With alternaVites, you have one small packet that has a flavored powder that is similar to a Pixie Stix. They come in Strawberry Bubblegum and Raspberry Cotton Candy (Henry’s favorite). What I love about this product is that if you cannot coax your child to take the alternaVites as is, you can mix it in yogurt, applesauce or pudding.

I am not surprised that alternaVites have been awarded the Best Product of 2012 by Vitamin Retailer. This product is endorsed by doctors, pediatricians and dieticians nationwide and even comes in an adult form! Each packet is free of any additives, coloring, flavoring and is certified Kosher. When compared to traditional vitamin pills or tablets, alternaVites have the same amount or better of the recommended daily allowance of minerals, vitamins and nutrients. If you have a child or an adult, who has difficulty swallowing, these are perfect! What a relief to have finally found a vitamin that Henry can take. Now I can rest easy knowing he is getting the vitamins and minerals he needs each day. You can purchase alternaVites from their website for $15.95 per box of 30 packets as well as on Amazon.
