I’m sharing affresh® in my life as part of a sponsored series for Socialstars™ #affresh You should never put your hand in the garbage disposal. Now that being said, I am one of the major offenders of this. I’m a little schizoid about it because I always have to make sure that the switch is turned off and nobody is within 5 feet of me me as they might just bump me and then I have chopped my hand off. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to risk my hand for a handful of ground eggshells.

First off, it is important to keep your drain clog free and clean and affresh® Disposal Cleaner is the right tool for the job when it comes to keeping your disposal spic and span. You can purchase it at amazon.com/affresh. If you have funky odors coming from the sink and it is clogged, chances are you have one of the following foods clogging it up!

Top five offending foods of clogged garbage disposals

    1. Banana peels
    2. Potato peels
    3. Avocado skins
    4. Egg shells
    5. Coffee grounds

You can fight odor-causing residues with the powerful foaming action of affresh® Disposal Cleaner and clean your sink with bubbles produced from the cleaner. I love a dual purpose product don’t you?

Each easy-to-use tablet is designed for monthly use, or as needed, to scrub your disposal clean with a citrus scent. affresh® Disposal Cleaner is a specialty cleaner designed for your disposal and extremely “easy to use”.

  • TURN ON hot water to a low flow
  • PLACE 1 tablet in the disposal
  • TURN ON disposal for 15-30 seconds. Foam may rise.
  • TURN OFF disposal
  • RINSE away foam and any residue down the drain *The water stream needs to be low in order for this to work properly.

Ways to unclog your drain if affresh doesn’t do the trick.

  1. Use a plunger
  2. Tap the disposal, sometimes it is on safety mode.
  3. Liquid drain unclogger
  4. Last case scenario use an object to dislodge the peels. I don’t recommend your hand.
