Lately when I have found myself standing in line at the pharmacist I am worried about more than me or a loved one beings sick. With the economy these days, our family has taken quite a hit. My husband lost his source of income and we now rely on my income. Since I work for myself, I had to get my own insurance for me and the family. Did you know how ridiculously expensive it is when you buy your own insurance! Of course I tried to select the most beneficial plan for my family, but even then everything is not 100% covered and I have co-pays with every medical action I take. My insurance is pretty good, but I still have minor co-pays for prescription drugs.

I decided to save even more on prescriptions my family would normally purchase if they got sick, and I found out that I would save even more money on Walgreens brand over the counter drugs and all Nice brand products including the photo lab.  That is a lot of money to be saved by utilizing the Walgreens Bonus program that comes with the Prescriptions Savings Club enrollment.

When I was shopping at Walgreens looking for great deals, I found these handy dandy signs all over the place to remind me of my savings. With that in mind, I started to browse the different sections to see what Nice brand products were. When I was at the Walgreens pharmacy, the pharmacist told me that if I signed up today, I would receive 20% off my purchase of all Nice brand products. After checking all of the aisles, I found a variety of products my family uses on the regular.  I found tons of food stuff like dried fruits and jellos, breakfast bars, cookies and more!

If you look closely at the picture, you can see that most of the products were on sale. You know I stocked up to take advantage of the discount! When I returned back to the pharmacy counter with all of my purchases, they explained that I could add all of my family members under the age of  24 which includes my uninsured son in college. I also added my dog to the plan. Yep, they insure your pets! Pretty cool considering Fenway is pulling into the home stretch and will need a medicinal regimen as he ages like most of his breed. Enrolling took mere minutes and now I have one less thing on my mind. I can even get my doctor to prescribe 3 months at a time for an even deeper savings! I am so glad Walgreens is my corner store! Just by enrolling I saved $15 on my purchases that day, and I have the membership for a whole year! the family membership was only $35, but you can get a individual membership for $20.
