Not Your Typical Reality Television Show

Not Your Typical Reality Television Show

Art comes in many forms and sometimes we cannot always see a piece of work through the eyes of the artist. This is especially true with the latest show from AMC Immortalized; find out more. The premise of the show is to pit competitors against each other to create winning works of taxidermy. This non-scripted series is not your typical reality television show. The viewer is taken on a journey into the mysterious world of taxidermy. Many viewers who may not have been privy to seeing this craft before may be pleasantly surprised at the work from these talented competitors. One of the things that sets this reality show apart from others is the pairing the creators decided upon for their competitions. Instead of the viewer watching two novices work against each other, a seasoned and respected "Immortalizer" is pitted against a more novice "Challenger".

Viewers will find it hard to miss this weekly show so they can see how well the novices hold up against the more experienced professionals   The two pieces of work are judged in three categories:  originality, craftsmanship and interpretation of the designated theme. One week you will see the theme of "Size Matters" and another week you will see "The End Of The World" as a theme. As with most competition shows, the viewer gets to see how each artist will interpret the theme into a work of taxidermy art. You will see classic taxidermists as well as rogues, whose work is more off the beaten path than their more traditional partners in taxidermy. Among the contestants, you will meet a 2nd generation taxidermist as well as the more non-traditional rouge who uses her taxidermy skills to create beautiful hats for women.  The passion, attention to detail and the highly creative artistic expression from the cast will make the viewer counting down the day until the next episode airs.  You can watch Immortalized airs Thursdays at 10pm EST/9pm CST, only on AMC.
