Ok, so we have all heard of the freshman 15 where you are said to gain 15 pounds in your freshman year of college, right? Well, apparently there is this thing called the holiday 10 where you pack on 10 pounds over the holidays. Oh, is that not a real thing? Cuz I swer it is because it happened to me, so it mu st be a thing, right? I was so shocked when I stepped on the scales on January 1st and saw the number steadily creep up and exceed my normal weight. Good grief! I was already overweight and I put myself even farther from my goal with all those rich foods, decadent desserts, candies and chocolates. So, I made the commitment to get back on track and focus on being the healthy person I know I can be. I have also been struggling with stomach issues related to gallstones and a possible ulcer. Regardless of your reason for making a vow to lose weight, here are some must have tools to make that resolution a reality:

- Support: I could not lose weight if I did not have support to encourage me. I get all fired up in the beginning but when the going gets tough, I want to know I have someone in my corner cheering me to keep going.
