date night dress
Usually my husband and I share date night on the couch in front of the TV. Since we just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary, we thought it would be nice to go out. Chris can just throw on a pair of slacks, a button up and a pair of brown loafers and look great. I, on the other hand, have a much harder time coming up with an outfit. I feel like I am at the point in my life where I am now a mom, but I don’t really want to look like a mom when I’m out without the kids. My clothes are so in between young college girl and young adult, it’s almost impossible to find an ensemble that says ME. Since the thought of finding an entire outfit absolutely makes me cringe, I went for the all in one look. A dress! To be more specific, a Karina Dresses dress!

3 Reasons Why Ruby Is The Perfect Date Night Dress

  1. Dress Up or Dress Down I chose the Ruby dress in the Squares pattern and I couldn’t love it more! It is the kind of pattern and style that can be dressed up with a pair of wrap around the ankle wedges or dressed down with a pair of tights and a boyfriend cardigan. Since we were going on date night, I chose to wear my wedges. I have my eye on an adorable army green boyfriend sweater that will look awesome with the black and off white print.

  2. Great Fit and Cut The sleeves of the dress are wide enough to balance larger shoulders, while the neckline droops open just enough to make me feel sexy and conservative at the same time. The length is perfect for me since I really don’t like dresses to hit below the knee, unless it’s a maxi style. The faux wrap has all the glory of a wrap dress without the possibility of my goods falling out all over the place!
  3. I Feel Good For the first time in a long time, I actually feel like me in this dress. I don’t feel like I look too old or too young. I look exactly how I want to look. I feel like this is a dress I can grow with, and will grow with. Since I am expecting a little one, I got this dress in a size larger than usual. Can’t wait to wear it all summer long!
