Waking Up

Waking up for me some days can be really tough. I like to get up early before the kids and husband get up, so I can have some “me time.” My me time is walking around my neighboorhood listening to a book on Audible.com or music on my phone. Since I live in Florida, it gets really hot really soon so I like to get going before the sun comes out in full force. It is also pretty difficult to walk a whole street length facing the sun. It seems my eyes are more sensitive to the light as I get older and I do not like to sweat with sunglasses on. This means early, early like 6:30 a.m. early is my prime waking up time.

This is extremely hard on me when I stay up late the night before watching movies with my husband, playing video games or working on my blog. I have been trying to live a healthier lifestyle and this means you have to be consistent with your daily activities to form habits that become second nature. Ugh! I drag myself out of beds some days to help instill the habit for my own good.

Often, the first thing I do after I go to the bathroom is turn on the coffee pot. Nothing beats the aroma of fresh brewed Starbucks coffee to help liven up your senses. However, coffee is sometimes too hot for the morning when the humidity is 80% and the temperature at 6:30 a.m. is in the 90s.

I was so thankful to find out that Starbucks has developed a new beverage, Starbucks Refreshers™, which is a fruity, sparkling, cool-tasting drink that carries a natural kick. Green Tea coffee extract, blended with B vitamins, ginseng, and antioxidants create this 60 calorie-a-can tasty drink that lets you feel good about when you need to refuel. I cannot wait to try it because it is low calorie and it is a cold beverage that is light and not as heavy as my coffee can get with the creamer I add.

I bet the Starbucks Refreshers™ would even be great for the afternoon when you needed that little extra boost to help you keep up with your kids. As a matter of fact, when I was traveling recently, I stopped at Starbucks like I always do and the barista recommended the Starbucks Refreshers™ as a low calorie alternative.

What do you do to keep you going through the day? Do you walk, stretch, enjoy a beverage? Sometimes, just pausing and stretching works for me. I can feel the blood rushing through my body waking up all the nerves that fall asleep while I am working. I find that the more I exercise the more energy I have and staying hydrated really helps with my energy levels as well.

Each beverage is a sparkling, delicious boost of natural energy from Green Coffee Extract you can enjoy anytime. With real fruit juice, B vitamins, ginseng, antioxidants from vitamin C and only 60 calories per can, it’s a pick-me-up you can feel good about.
