Keeping Your Kids Sharp With The LeapFrog Epic

This post is sponsored by LeapFrog. Kids are like little sponges. They will eat up as much information as you are willing to feed them. But there are limitations to how long they will sit and learn new things. Once kids start getting frustrated about something, the focus and attention drop away at an amazing rate. It is crucial in the early learning stages that you keep their interest piqued. Once they are no longer interested in something, you could quite possibly be wasting your energies. The secret to keeping your kids sharp and getting the most out of their learning experience is to just making learning fun. I’m not saying this is the cure all, but you will get more bang for your buck and build even stronger bonds with them. Who knows, you may even learn a thing or two yourself.

Learning Fun For The Whole Family

  • Weekly Learning Challenges: Let your kids choose a subject. Anything that gets them excited. Give them  a few days to learn as much about that subject as they can, with your help if necessary, then at the end of the week they give the rest of the family a quick lesson on their newly acquired knowledge.
  • Family Game Night: Pick games that fosters learning new subjects or nurtures their personal growth in common social skills and values. These games take the edge off of learning new things in fun family oriented environment. Not to mention it’s just really fun!
  • Interactive Education: Usually I don’t recommend that you let your kids spend too much time in front of electronic devices. But when those devices are boosting their educational growth without them even knowing it, I’m willing to make an exception. The LeapFrog Epic learning tablet is just that.

Let’s be honest. it’s a busy world, and we don’t always have as much time as we would like to spend time with our children on a daily basis, and I loathe the idea of letting electronics babysit them. Personally, I don’t like the to have more than two hours of screen time for the whole day. But when supplement bad screen time with good screen time, I think it’s quite alright to extend that time allotment. The LeapFrog Epic tablet and the Word Whammer spelling game are the epitome of good screen time. The Word Whammer is a great little hand held game that helps them identify the missing letters in words and sound the correct pronunciation.  It’s compact and great for the car to get those little readers rolling right along. The Epic Learning Tablet is a ready made learning tool that will grow with with educational needs. It come equipped with an Android operating system that allows for parent approved wi-fi and internet connections and the ability to  download new games that will continue to challenge their growing minds on a daily basis. So make your kids learning experience Epic and watch them blossom right in front of your eyes.
