“This post was written as part of my association with Toyota forArrive in Style”

If you have teens in the house that are of driving age, this can be exciting and scary for both of you. I remember when I first learned how to drive. I think my mom was more nervous than I was. In fact, mom had such a hard time trying to teach me that my older sister had to take over! I remember how excited I was to get my driver’s license but I also realized how much responsibility that was attached to it. When I learned to drive, we did not have as many distractions as we do today. All my mom was worried about was me listening to the radio too loud and dancing while I was driving! Now we have cell phones to text and talk on that are causing more accidents than ever. This is why I am so proud to be partnering with Toyota and Teen Vogue and their “Arrive in Style” initiative.

Keeping Your Teenager Safe When Driving

Keeping Your Teenager Safe When Driving

I was shocked when I read that Toyota found 62% of teenage girls reported using their cell phones when driving. My oldest daughter who turns 26 soon never uses her cell phone when she is driving. She does have a Bluetooth, but she said she really does not even like using that. She said for her, even talking hands free was still a distraction in her opinion.

I am working with Toyota and Teen Vogue to encourage you all who have current or soon to be teen girl drivers to sign the “Pledge to Drive Safely”. This initiative is meant to keep your teenager safe when driving and with your help and encouragement, she will!

Once you and the teen girl in your life have signed the pledge, you are entered for a chance to win a Teen Vogue Beauty Box. Caitlin and I received one of the boxes and it is packed full of awesome products to help Caitlin “Arrive In Style”.
