This Summer my family and I have several get-togethers planned, and along with that comes many Summer dishes I would like to try! I have been buying bulk lately so I found myself with an abundance of kiwi and avocados. Sounds like Summer Salad material to me right? And right about the same time, my new summer line from Target arrived. Looks like Kismet.
Kiwi Avocado Salad
- 4 Kiwi fruit peeled and diced
- 1 Haas avocado peeled and diced
- 1 T green onion sliced fine
- 2 T cilantro fresh
- 1 t olive oil
- 1 T cranraisins
- 2 T almonds sliced
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Wash, slice, dice and mix
The strawberry plates just made me feel happy. The bright colors complemented the Kiwi Avocado Salad perfectly. I know this might sound weird, but my kids eat better when we use these plates. I think it has to do with the bight blues and reds along with the perfect size. I let them use the salad plates, while the adults dine with the dinner plates.
The cups that came with the entertainment package inspired me to make a berry cocktail to go with dinner. Everything becomes more fun with berries don’t you think! In addition to the tableware that you can tell I LOVE, I was also sent this freakishly cool bowl with a wooden lid the same day I needed a bread bowl that did not seal completely. Kismet – I swear! I am sold on the fact that I was meant for these dishes. Look how perfect this bowl is for rising bread. Do I look prepared for a Big Honkin’ Summer or what?
