Meeting Your Weekly Water Intake Goal
I am on the start of week 8 with Medifast and I am down 14.5 pounds and I am so excited. For the first time in years, I feel like I can really do this! When I was talking with my nutritionist Alexandra, she asked me what goals I wanted to set for the week. The first thing that I thought about was my water intake. I am just not a water drinker and it is hard for me to get in as much as I need. I would much rather drink Diet Coke than water any day! Since soda can make you want to eat sweets, it is really important that I cut that out altogether and stick with water. I told Alexandra that I wanted to drink 3 bottles of water per day and cut out the diet coke altogether. I reserved the treat of having a diet coke once a week, but other than that, I wasn’t going to have it. Lucky for me, Medifast has Flavor Infusers that I can add to my water. You have 5 flavors to choose from: Raspberry Acai and White Grape Peach have added antioxidants and the CalorieBurner Green Tea Lemon, Mixed Berry and Strawberry. I chose the mixed berry and the strawberry lemonade and they are so delicious. I could not believe how tasty they are. I have had flavors that had a weird after taste but these have nothing but a crisp and clean taste that made meeting my water goals easy. At the beginning of the week, I buy a case of water and put half of it in the fridge. With each meal and snack, I grab a cold water and add my flavor infuser and I am good to go. I cannot believe my water tastes this good and that I am easily getting in my daily intake. Alexandra helps me set realistic goals each week and I can see why! It feels so good when I meet a goal. It gives me encouragement that I can lose this weight once and for all!!
