Modern Flatware Sets
I have been thinking about updating my kitchen and finding modern flatware sets. My current flatware was handed down from my mom and she had used it for years before I received it. We have lost so many pieced over the years that I honestly can’t tell you if there are any matching pieces left! I wasn’t sure where to even look for a more updated set. I looked at the discount stores and they were really cheap looking but at the mall it was the opposite! I just don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on flatware that I know my kids will eventually sneak outside with to dig in the dirt! So..Where to look for something with a modern feel but is also nice and sturdy?
Knork Flatware is the result of a revolutionary vision that Michael D. Miller had. Miller wanted to design a product that would move us from the dull and predictable flatware of yesterday. In order to replace that old flatware, he knew he had to design a more innovative and exciting flatware. What he came up with is the fantastically clever Knork Flatware. Miller took a fork and combined it with the functionality of a knife and melded the two. The result is the most cleverly designed product I have ever seen. Durable Plastic Flatware
One of the reasons I wanted to review the products from Knork Flatware was their durable plastic flatware they designed. This colorful array of Knork Flatware is perfect for camping, picnics or for kids to use every day. The Camping Knork comes in a 12 pack ($11.00) and they are nice and sturdy and dishwasher safe. My kids absolutely love these Camping Knork’s. One of the issues with Henry’s autism is his preference to not use flatware. For the first 5 or 6 years, he would only eat finger food. Now that he is almost 11, he does use flatware, but he still slips back into his old patterns. I had hoped the Camping Knork would entice him to not use his hands and by golly it worked!! I was so excited! I also received the Knork Flatware 5-piece place setting in the matte finish ($24.99). I am telling you, this line of flatware is not only cool looking, but its ergonomic design does make it more comfortable than traditional flatware. As we received the one set, there are a lot of races to the kitchen to be the first to grab the Knork Flatware! Caitlin even hid the set in the sofa so she could get to it when dinner rolled around. It was hilarious! Needless to say, my family will be getting a complete set for Christmas!
One reader will win a 20 piece place set of Knork Flatware in the matte finish ($87.99)
