Monogrammed Baby Blankets From Mommys Baby Boutique

Monogrammed Baby Blankets

I had a baby shower to go to recently and I wanted monogrammed baby blankets for the gift.  I try to find gifts that are more personal than just running to the Acme Mart and buying an impersonal gift.  I always try to put some thought into buying gifts for others.  I want the recipient of the gift know I took the time to choose just the right gift.  I think if you have a handmade and personalized gift to give, it says you care.

I met Valerie Garbe of Mommy’s Baby Boutique through Etsy where I had seen her adorable personalized baby items.  When Valerie was a new mommy, she took her sewing talent and decided to make baby items.  Getting inspiration from her son, Valerie began personalizing burp cloths, blankets, and nursing covers. Valerie knew how difficult it was to nurse when you are out, so she designed nursing covers to give a mom and baby privacy.  Valerie began searching for fabric that were soft enough for a baby’s sensitive skin but was also really cute.  She soon found there were way more cute fabrics for girls than boys, so whenever she found fabric for little boys, she grabbed them and turned them into the sweetest gifts for babies.

Personalized Pillowcases For Kids

I think personalized pillowcases for kids are really cute.  Instead of buying plain pillow cases for the kids’ beds, I wanted to add a little personality to their rooms.  Henry is especially into the whole personalization thing as he has several items with his name on them in his bedroom.  In addition to the baby blanket ($15.00) and “tie” onesie ($11.50), Valerie made Henry a really cute pillowcase ($25.00). In order to make the perfect item for your child, Valerie gathers all the information she needs to choose just the right fabric.  Valerie actually had a tough time choosing fabric for Henry, so she emailed and gave me a handful of choices.  We decided on the cute hot wheels fabric with the bright yellow fabric for the trim.  I loved the red embroidery of “HENRY” against the yellow trim.  You can see from the picture above how awesome all three work so well together.  The pillow case is made perfectly.  The stitching is as good as a store bought item and knowing Valerie took such care in her creations means so much to me.  I know when I have a baby gift to buy; I am giving Valerie a call!
