Monroe and Main
Monroe and Main Fleur De Denim jeans paired with a Pointelle Poncho

This  Monroe and Main Review/Giveaway is part of a Fashionista Events opportunity.  Clothing/accessories were provided by Monroe and Main as noted. Monroe and Main is a fabulous find for flattering fashions! Once I started to browse through their site, I fell in love with so many looks. You can find outfits for every occasion and many pieces mix in match quite well. I was planning a trip to New York and I wanted to be able to transition easily from day to night as well as walking the streets shopping and sitting in the cold conference rooms. I selected a few tops, a pair of pants and a fabulous cardigan I am so in love with. However, I could have dressed myself head to toe because they carry shoes as well as jewelry and handbags.

I first selected a pair of Fleur De Denim jeans ($59.95) to pair with a Pointelle Poncho. I was hoping the white sweater would be breezy enough for the hot streets on New York in the summer as well as Florida! I have worn it a few times each with a different belt! Versatility in an article of clothing is pretty much the best perk I could ask for! I feel as if it was just begging to unleash my creative fashion sense! How could changing the belt and accessories change the top? The possibilities are endless.

I just loved the embroidery on the jeans and received so many compliments. I wore flip flops when I wore the poncho and wedges while in New York. The cream La Top En Rose was so soft and travelled fairly well. I was afraid I would have to iron it, or even worse have to dry clean when I returned home! It was a gentle wash with a flat dry and held up really well like all the pieces I received from this awesome boutique.

The fit for my clothing selections ran true to size. Monroe and Main offers a “Our Fit For You Guide” just in case you want to double check. Buying over the internet can always be hit and miss, and you never really know what the fit would be like until you try it on. I was sure I would have to return something I had ordered, but was not really worried about returns because they have a guarantee. They say,

“If it’s not instant love, send it back within 60 days for a full merchandise refund or exchange.”

I had a fantastic time in New York shopping, exploring and being a general tourist. Of course being the social media nut I am, I tweeted out my outfits while in New York via Instagram and Tumblr.

When you decide to browse the awesome selection Monroe and Main has to offer, I know you will buy! So make sure to connect with them too! They are very social and love the interaction. 4. well besides your awesome jeans I love the city chic duster sweater! I don’t usually need a coat and love to be able to wrap in a warm comfy sweater.

  5. I like the Sequin Lounge Set because it looks really comfortable but still is stylish. You could go just about anywhere in this outfit.

  6. I love the sweaters! The Katia, the sweater coat & duster – love them all! I live in New England and you can never have too many sweaters here in the Fall.

  7. I like the Lola Colored Slim Jeans in Turquoise and the Alonna Lace Back Tee. They are pretty and perfect for fall because the top wouldn’t be too warm, but it could also easily be covered up with a cute sweater if the weather is a little cool.

  8. I would wear the Soutache Trench which is a gorgeous coat and under that I would wear the lovely Juliet Top and the Gold Embroidered Pants. I would also wear the Bling Toe Ballerinas in black and carry the Woven Snake Print Bag.

  9. I want to get my hands on the City Chic Duster Sweater because I have always wanted a long sweater and this one is gorgeous. Under the sweater I would wear a wine colored Placket Tunic and the
4-Way Stretch Bengaline Bootcut in black with the Red Rocks Shoe by Monroe and Main and the Studded Triangle Satchel.

  10. I WANNA ROCK THE KATINA SWEATER & THE FLEECE LINED LEGGINGS!!! I WANT TO STAY WARM AT THE FOOTBALL GAMES IN STYLE! I LOVE THE HEATHER GRAY COLOR & EDGE THESE TWO TOGETHER!!!

  11. I would love to have the Pleated Pocket Sweater. I love classic styles and the pocket gives just a bit of something different to make it special.

  12. The fan colorblock dress is very smart looking and fashion forward. I really love the look and style of many of these pieces. I am starting a new professional job in October, and one thing I don’t have is a dress that is workplace appropriate. The fan colorblock from Monroe and Main Fall collection would fit the bill beautifully.

  13. I love the Wine-Stain Necklace – it could really dress up a pair of jeans if you’re going for a quick drink or a movie!

  14. Love the exciting color and style of the Sonoma Tunic! Can’t wait for it to get cooler so I can wear this, perfect here in the islands!

  15. So I know this isnot an outfit, but I just cannot order pants online, so I like both the Colette Lace Front Cardigan and the City Chic Duster Sweater. Either way I’d put black skinny pants on the bottom. Thnx! E

  16. love all from the golden girl look ,beautiful fall golden colors.what a wow with the Sweater, Indulgent Ruffles!!1

  17. I like the Chain Front Sweater. I work in a law firm where everyone dresses very conservatively, and it is hard to find clothes that aren’t boring.

  18. I like the Print Sheath Dress because it’s a classic with a twist (the print). I like the neckline because it would be flattering on me, and the length is perfect.

  19. I love the purple print dress. It is perfect fabric and color for fall!!Love it!! Thanks again for this great giveaway!!

  20. I love City Chic Duster Sweater because the colors are versatile, I love the style/cut, and with the cooler months coming, it looks comfy!

  21. I like the Argentina Embroidered Jean. They are the perfect jeans for the fall and they can be dressed up or down!

  22. Absolutely adore the Katia sweater. Could see it atop a simple t-shirt, and the Fleur De Lace jeggings, with the black Lace-Up wedge boots. Nice!

  23. I love lot of pieces but here is my favorites: Faux Fur Trim Sweater Coat, the boots are gorgeous : Linear Patch Boot by Monroe and Main, Placket Tunic, City Chic Duster Sweater and the Jennifer Knit Top. I will stop because most of the things to sale looks fantastics and beautiful and will fit me perfectly 🙂

  24. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Houndstooth dress! I am getting ready to start selling Real Estate and this would be perfect for the job! 🙂

  25. The soft skirt suit is so cute it almost makes me wish I had to dress up more for my job! they grey/pink combo is my favorite right now!

  26. I LOVE the Argentina Embroidered Jean and think it would be perfect with the Blue Ombré Sweater for lazy fall weekends!

  27. I like the Melange Cardigan…the multiple colors in the knit will go with skirts or my favorite piece of clothing…my jeans!

  28. The Nishelle Top is very nice, too. Animal print is perfect here in Hawaii — for Fall and year round, it’s casual yet stylish!

  29. I love the embroidered jeans and the Juliet top. I keep busy with 5 kids and usually dress casual and comfortable. The embellishment on the jeans dresses them up a bit.

  30. I like the chain front sweater -It could be paired with dresses or jeans and perfect for fall or winter weather

  31. I adore the Argentina Embroidered Jeans with swirls of floral embroidery and shining studs . I think they’d go great with just about any top for the fall.

  32. I absolutely love the Print Sheath Dress because you can dress it up or dress it down. You can also wear it in pretty much any season! It’s gorgeous.

  33. I like the Soft Skirt Suit since it has a shorter jacket. I’m petite and usually have to alter jackets to fit. I’d wear kid sizes but they usually don’t offer suits in those sizes! Also it’s pretty expensive, so if money were no object, like $100 to spend, well a girl can dream!

  34. I like the Gold Embroidered Pant. I don’t like embroidery down the legs, but the embroidery at the top of the pants looks pretty cool.

  35. I like the Jennifer Knit Top – I love any kind of top that crosses in the front because it helps my chest look nicer.

  36. I love the Gold Foil Feather Tee. That shirt would fit in so well on the cruise ships I work on. Dressy, but not too dressy.

  37. Also like the Corlina multi-stripe Cardigan. I like the comfortable style and it will go well with dressy pants.

  38. Love the Orange Ombre Sweater. It looks comfortable and cozy, but all the colours are perfect for so many things underneath it.

  39. I am in LOVE with the Aztec Drape/wrap Sweater!! SO versatile! And I love sweaters I can cuddle myself in! ☺

  40. I love the Navado tunic dress because it’s easy to pair with some tights or leggings for fall and you’ve got a complete outfit!

  41. I was drawn to the City Chic Duster Sweater…I like the colors and pattern and the style is good for my 5’10” height. The style and color are also classic enough that that it will still look stylish after a few seasons…fashionable without being flash-in-a-pan trendy.

  42. So many cute things to choose from. I like the reversible skirt with the textured moto jacket. I also like the dot top and the Christina club leather booties.

  43. OMG!! I love so many different items but my favorites would be the Gold Foil Feather Tee and the Animal Swing Tunic. They are both so pretty!!

  44. There are so many beautiful things in every aspect of fashion. From the saddle shoes in navy and tan to the fan color block dress, to the plaza pug boots and the smudge floral skirt. I love them all and more!!!

  45. I love the belted trench coat in Army Green. So cute for Fall and so versatile, plus it’s one of my favorite colors right now!

  46. I absolutely love the Fan Colorblock dress. I work in an office setting and this looks both comfortable and professional. Perfect blend!

  47. The first item that caught my attention was the (Sweater, Katia). It looks romantic, cozy and warm! Very pretty!

  48. I’m thinking either the Green Goddess 2-Piece Dress, or the Argentina Embroidered Jean (LOVE these!) and the… well… I can’t decide between the Monte Carlo Gold Caftan or the Jacinda… I’m not sure the Jacinda would look nice on me, so it’d probably be the Caftan. And, if possible, the Silvertone Butterfly Scarf in white as an accessory, or a jewelry set that I’d make for it. I’d pair my own shoes with either outfit.

  49. I think it would be easier to say what I wouldn’t want. Okay, either the Zigzag Midi or the Saddle Stitch Boots by Seventh Avenue! I love everything, though!

  50. I think the change in season for the Fall means a deeper richer color palate. The deep rose is almost like a burgandy and would go with my cooler weather corduroys and thicker sweaters and plaids. The Bejeweled Rose Scarf drapes beautifully on the neck and already has jewelry built in.

    • Oh! The reason why is I love dresses and boots and this is too cute with both! And I have to dress up for work!

  51. I love the Stripe Sharkbite Top! What I think I would do if I won though is allow my oldest daughter to buy things with the GC instead! 😉 She’s not here to look right now though, she’s at school.

  52. I like the 4-Way Stretch Bengaline Bootcut pants because they look are very flattering on someone with a tummy and long legs.

  53. the Paris Tweed Jacket is gorgeous – it can be dressed up or down and I can see it with jeans, a skirt or dress pants. A fantastic, timeless piece.
