See Mr. Peabody And Sherman On The Big Screen In 2014

When I was a young girl in the 1960’s, one of my favorite duos was Mr. Peabody and Sherman. The uber intelligent dog and his adopted son would take you on adventures to important dates in history via their WABAC machine. They found a way to make learning fun and my sister and I could not wait for new episodes. Mr. Peabody, who prefers the term “literate dog”, is a Nobel prize winner, an Olympic medalist and even a licensed Chiropractor. He can play the bag pipes, the piano, rock a guitar and even play a tune on the didgeridoo. In the movie, which will be in theaters on March 7, 2014, you will see Mr. Peabody and Sherman travel back to visit some impressive figures like Leonardo da Vinci and Mona Lisa and.

It was such a thrill to be among a select few bloggers to see a sneak peek of the trailer of the new action packed animated adventure. Sherman (Max Charles –The Amazing Spiderman), is teased by his sassy classmate Penny Peterson because his dad is a dog, I mean literate dog. Mr. Peabody (voiced by Ty Burrell, Emmy Award® Winner –Modern Family), decides it best to invite the Peterson family over to smooth things over and help the kids become friends. Instead, Sherman feels pressured to impress Penny and shows her the WABAC machine and that is when the fun really begins! Here is a preview of the movie to wet your whistle until 3/7/2014.

It was such an honor to have the opportunity to meet Ty Burrell and have a Q and A session with him. First, let me say what a delight it was to speak with Ty Burrell. He is absolutely to nicest and most genuinely down to earth guy you would want to meet. I asked Ty what a typical weekend night at the Burrell house was like and he said lots of food and conversation. He said he and his wife love to cook and they enjoy long meals with their two girls. Ty told us the story of Mr. Peabody and Sherman hit home with him because Sherman was adopted by Mr. Peabody and Ty and his wife Holly have adopted two girls. I loved hearing Ty tell is he and his wife make the decisions regarding the roles he takes as a team. He said since adopting the girls he has become selective in his roles and Mr. Peabody and Sherman seemed like a great fit.

We asked Ty what period in time he would visit in the WABAC machine. He told us he admired the comedic genius of Charlie Chaplin and would love to see how they filmed his movies. We also asked Ty which talent of Mr. Peabody’s he would like to have.  Ty told us he loved to travel and the ability to speak so many languages fluently like Mr. Peabody does would come in handy! Thank you so much Ty for making this blogger feel like such a queen on her trip to NYC! I told Ty it was Caitlin’s birthday while we were meeting him and she said she would forgive me if I sent her a picture of myself with him! He was so wonderful to oblige me and Caitlin got such a kick out of showing off the SMS I sent her!
