I love the beach, so where else would I be better suited to vacation than the Original American Beach! Daytona Beach, on the Florida east coast, is one of the finest and most popular beaches in the country. I have been planning my itinerary, so come join me… the beach awaits!
Offering a wide variety of activities, its 23 miles of sparkling white sand is the perfect destination for your next vacation whether it be for the family or a romantic getaway great for couples.
Maybe you want to stay inside and visit one of Daytona Beach’s many historical sites. The choices are unlimited so have fun. For those looking for something to do after relaxing in the sun, there is a multitude of options nearby. Visit the Daytona International Speedway or the new Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, the most extensive collection of Florida art in the world. For DAY ONE, you will find me unwinding from my journey to Daytona Beach relaxing in the sun. Daytona Beach has some of the nicest beaches in the world. Like a setting from days gone by, cars patrol up and down the beach with others lined parked next to the water. It’s a rare thing to be able to drive on a beach anymore. You can take a family bike ride on the beach or catch up on your reading while the kids play in the waves. Later in the afternoon, I’ll ride bikes along the coast and finish up at one of the surfside restaurants. For DAY TWO, I would like to go to one of the many fall festivals. Daytona Beach is known as the festival capital of Florida as the area boasts more than fifty festivals throughout the year. Fall festivals make this the perfect time of year to visit. If you love art, be sure to attend the Halifax Art Festival in beautiful downtown Daytona Beach. That is where you will find me. For DAY THREE, I will stretch my muscles and opt for a day of watersports. Daytona Beach has some of the best surfing and boogie boarding on the east coast. I would love to go deep-sea fishing for grouper and dolphin or chase snook in a kayak. You can bring your gear or rent everything you need for the endless water sports and outdoor fun. Daytona Beach features a variety options for your stay including hotels, motels, condo rentals, bed and breakfasts, vacation rentals and campgrounds. You are sure to find something to fit your budget and style. There are plenty of free things to do in Daytona Beach and plenty of kid friendly options as well.
