I have a weird Twilight Zone (or maybe I should say Twilight Sparkle?!) thing going on in my house right now. I have a daughter who is 28, one who is 16 and a 13 year old boy. My oldest has been a huge My Little Pony fan since its debut in 1983. These effervescent ponies from Equestria with their colorful manes and unique “cutie marks” have had a hold on Chelsea since she was a toddler and now have my 13 year old mesmerized. To be official and all, according the Henry, he is a “Brony” which is a guy who likes My Little Pony. Hey, I do not judge, so whatever makes him happy!
Recently he had the honor of delving into the My Little Pony interactive storybook apps from PlayDate Digital, with an advanced download of PlayDate Digital’s MY LITTLE PONY: CUTIE POX interactive storybook app. The apps made their debut on January 29th, selling for $2.99 each from the iTunes store and is available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Here is a teaser video for you!

Henry had such fun exploring through all 8 of the apps. Because we homeschool, we were able to include this adventure as part of our learning for the day. I know I mentioned Henry was 13, so you may think this would be a bit too young for him. Actually, Henry has autism, and he is mentally on par with an 8 or 9 year old, so this is perfect for us. I tried to get a photo of it, but I could not get the right angle of him sleeping with his iPad. He fell asleep playing My Little Pony: Power Ponies! Be sure to stay connected with PlayDate Digital and follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
One USA/CAN reader will win (1) Collection of ALL 8 My Little Pony apps by PlayDate Digital, (2) DVD of My Little Pony – Friendship is Magic: Adventures Of The Cutie Mark Crusaders, being released on 2/24/15 from Shout! Factory, and a (3) $25 iTunes gift card ARV $62.
