Here I am at the beginning of week 5 with Nutrisystem and I can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by! Any doubts I had about the food tasting good has long gone with the passing of time. I did have some issues with a few of the spicy meals but when you are talking about 2 meals out of more than 80, those are some darn good odds! If I were in Las Vegas, I would be laying some chips down on those odds! There have been a few things I messed up on with the program but I have got them figured out finally! I am almost embarrassed to admit my mistakes because they were explained in the information I received with my first order. I thought I would share them with you in the event you come across this when you sign up for Nutrisystem (which you totally should because it is AWW-SOME!!
When you get your food in the first month, you also get a book which explains the program and you also get a journal to keep track of your daily activity as well as the approved foods you can add. You are given flavored fiber powder that you mix with water and you can have it with your morning or afternoon meal. Well, I misread the book and thought you had it with BOTH meals with skim milk! Well no wonder I was in the restroom a lot!!! The other thing I messed up on was the type food you add. There are power fuels and good carbs and you add them in at certain times, just like the powdered drinks. I found I was not only eating some of these foods at the wrong time, but I was eating too much of them. I had been telling Meredith, my mentor with Nutrisystem that I felt I wasn’t doing as well and she gave me a great pep talk! You can like Nutrisystem on their Facebook page or follow them on Twitter.
I am so glad I finally got the confusion cleared up and that I can start this week with a clear idea of what to do and if I ever doubt myself, I have a great support system to help me. And the other thing is that 7 pounds lost is a great number to close out the month. I wanted to show you a picture of my favorite food this week; the pizza with roasted veggies. You know how you make pizza in the microwave and it comes out rubbery and gross? I am not kidding when I tell you the Nutrisystem pizza came out crunchy and delicious! Those roasted veggies are the best! My husband even made his own pizza and we added roasted veggies to his. They turned out fantastic. I love his supporting me by trying to create meals for himself that are based on my Nutrisystem foods!! I appreciate your kind words of support and your prayers.
