Orange Is The New Black Season 2

If you are a parent, you probably do not get a lot of down time. When school is in session, we are constantly helping with homework, making lunches, meeting with teachers and volunteering for various school functions and activities. Of course, this is in addition to our already busy workload of keeping the house running, our jobs and all the other parental duties we juggle. When summer hits, we are not any less busy as we are chauffeuring the kids to camps, swim lessons, sleepovers and whatnot. Whew, just thinking about all of the things on my to do list is making me exhausted! One of my guilty pleasures I indulge in to unwind is to catch up on some of my favorite shows. Although most of my favorite series are on hiatus right now, Netflix has current episodes of their original programming as well as some old favorites.

Orange Is The New Black

One of my newest must see programs is Orange Is The New Black. This Netflix original series is a complete obsession with its superb writing and gifted cast. Taylor Schilling is just perfect in her role of Piper Chapman. If you are not familiar with the series, Piper is sentenced to 15 months in prison for a 10 year old crime related to her drug dealing girlfriend. Her girlfriend, Alex Vause is played by Laura Prepon from “That 70’s Show.” There are so many sub plots within this exhilarating show, they will keep you on your toes and the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Netflix did something different from the major networks when they released Orange Is The New Black Season 2 by making all the episodes available all at once. This way you can binge on all the episodes all at once, or you can meek it out to last the entire summer. I dare you to try and do it the way of the latter!

In addition, you can also stream a number of mind bending and obsession in the making series like Breaking Bad, Scandal, Weeds, Pretty Little Liars and Sherlock. For less than $12 a month, you can stream Netflix on all the compatible TV’s in your home as well as your gaming systems and mobile devices. There is no reason to miss out on your favorite Netflix programs while you are at your kids swim lesson when you can watch them on your tablet, laptop or smartphone. While you are at it, why not try this Olivia Pope inspired snack idea; Red Wine Spritzer and Pizza Popcorn to munch on while you watch Scandal! Be sure to follow Netflix on Facebook and Twitter.
