This recipe has been adapted from the emeals Paleo Diet plan. I omitted the oil, reduced the eggs, substituted Braggs to save on calories.
Ingredients
  • ¼ c minced white onion
  • ¼ c almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 c basil leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 T fish sauce
  • 1 T Braggs Soy Sauce
  • 1 t minced garlic
  • ½ t kosher salt
  • ½ t black pepper
  • ½ lb ground sirloin
For the Sriracha slaw
  • 3 c tri color cabbage slaw or broccoli slaw mix (shown)
  • 1 c thinly sliced red onion
  • 1 T Thai chili sauce, or Sriracha
  • ½ t kosher salt
  • ½ t black pepper

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Combine onion, flour, eggs, basil, fish sauce, Braggs, garlic, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Stir well to combine.
  4. Add sirloin; stir until just combined. I ground mine in a food processor.
  5. Divide evenly into 6 large meatballs.
  6. Place on glass baking pan
  7. Bake 20 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through.
For the slaw
  1. Combine slaw, onion, oil, chili sauce, salt and pepper in a large bowl; toss to coat.
  2. Let stand 30 minutes – 1 hour before serving.
