Personalized Backpacks For Back To School

Personalized Backpacks For Back To School

I always try to find personalized backpacks for back to school.  My kids are as forgetful as I am and they have lost countless backpacks, lunch totes, jackets, etc. during each school year.  I am not one to have the money to spend 3-4 times a year to replace the lost and or stolen merchandise.  Last year, a friend suggested buying backpacks with the kid’s names on them and they may not get lost as easily.  I love that idea and I went to a specialty shop nearby that does embroidery.  To put the name “ANNA” it was going to cost $24 and that was not including the backpack.  Well, the backpack I had was purchased for $28.00, so all total I was looking at $52.00 and I had another kid to go!  Who has that kind of money to spend?  Not me, that’s for sure.

Miss Lucy’s Monograms began as a dream for a retired teacher who wanted to open her own small business. Debbie had more than 30 years of experience as a teacher and she knew she had a creative streak, so she put those two aspects together.  The result is one of the most professional small businesses you will ever have the pleasure of working with.  Debbie treats each customer as if they are the only customer in the world.  With Miss Lucy’s Monograms, you have a huge library of fonts and thread colors to choose from for your embroidery.  Debbie also has a huge selection of gifts that can be personalized or monogrammed.  I love the bright colors and the quality selections Debbie has to offer.  To see more of Miss Lucy’s products, you can like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.

Be Prepared For School

In order to be prepared for school, I got all the kids school supplies on sale and just needed to get backpacks and lunch bags.  I worked with Debbie from Miss Lucy’s Monograms I the Spring and I was hoping to work with her again.  I have “adopted” my BFF’s kids this year in order to help my friend get a few things for school.  I told her I wanted to find a backpack and lunch tote for her daughter and I knew Debbie was the person to go to.  Thankfully when I contacted her, Debbie was up for another review.  As before, I gave Debbie an idea of what I wanted and together we choose a colorful pattern of pink with lime polka dots.  I asked Debbie to use the color thread she felt looked best and she did the same for the Font.  With her design instincts and eye for color, I have no reservations about asking her to choose these details for me.  As sure as the sun rises, Debbie went above and beyond with her stunning work.  The vivid pink and lime dots on the backpack ($33.00) looked perfect with the bright white thread of the lettering.  The lunch bag ($23.00) was just as sharp looking with the same colors.  I hate that I didn’t have my camera when Anna opened her gift.  She and her mom had their mouths hanging open for a solid minute!!  Thank you again Debbie my new friend for coming to the rescue for my old friend!

One reader will win a backpack (From $25-$35) and lunch tote (From $18-$33) in their choice of pattern (based on availability), font and thread color.  Total prize ARV $43-$68.
