Powow

I couldn't live with my Android phone.  I text more than I talk, so I've tried every text messaging app that's out there, trying to find the one that's right for me.  POWOW Messenger for Android has taken text messaging to the next level, especially when it comes to group texting.  With POWOW Messenger for Android group texting, Andoird users can initiate a group text, including anyone on any mobile device.  All group members can then utilize full group functionality on their device.  You can see all member replies in one conversation thread and truly reply to all members, a feature that is lacking with Android's stock messaging app or other text messaging apps.

In addition to POWOW's new group features, they continue to include my favorite and most used feature, the text pop-up.  You can choose to have your text messages pop up in a window in front of whatever you're doing so that you don't have to exist the program you're using just to read your texts. From the pop-up, you can choose to either respond, ignore, delete, or call contact.  This feature is super handy, and I personally couldn't live without it, now that I'm so used to using it on a daily basis.  Another cool feature is ZipIt.  SipIt allows you to mute messages from individual contacts, or completely blacklist messages from individual contacts if you just don't want to see them at all.

POWOW is free for all Android users in Google Play, so give it a try!  Once you're used to all of the advanced features, you won't go back to regular messaging!

  1. This sounds like a great app… I was wondering, do you know if this PowWow app for android phones related or produced by the same people who used to put out the online chat system PowWow (Tribal Voice) back in the mid to late ’90s?
