Summer is in full swing, and I like most moms, am trying to keep the kids engaged and entertained. However, it gets really hot from playing all day in the Florida sun. When dinnertime comes around sometimes I just want a quick dinner idea that my kids will love. Tyson carries a variety of products that you can make half meals out of in a way your kids will keep asking for more. If you have a picky eater like I do, you know how amazing it is when a child asks for seconds. I have used the Tyson mini chicken sandwiches to make a birdwich and a pigwich too! Tyson makes Any’tizers® Stuffed Chicken Cordon Bleu Minis which I turned into MICE!
What kid can resist mice?! They are so easy to make, and my boys really got a kick out of eating them. Jakobi helped me to pick out the best tails from the radishes I bought. At first he thought I was going to cut real mice tails, which is why he has such an awesome face in this picture.
Jakobi is starting Kindergarten this year. We are very excited! He is usually really shy, so I wanted to be involved with his school to help the transition along. I wanted him to know that his education and school are important enough to me to be involved. So I joined the PTO and am now the VP! I have been talking about the different fund raisers for his school with him, to help him feel connected before the first day of school. The PTO starts planning the year after the last day of school in the previous year. It is great I have all summer to get Jakobi acclimated and excited about a new environment.
Tyson just so happens to have a educational funds program called the Tyson Project A+ Program. You can identify which Tyson chicken products are participating by the icon on the package. At my local Walmart, you can find the Tyson chicken products in the freezer island. An entire side of one island is dedicated to the Tyson brand. You can see my complete shopping experience at WalMart at my Google Plus album. The sign up process is super easy, and each label is worth $0.24!
That is substantially higher than the other label programs. The money goes directly to the school so they can purchase supplies and educational materials they need. Once you get your school registered, it takes about 4 weeks to get approved. Now is the time to register! You can get ahold of your PTA or PTO organization to get your school signed up just in time to return for the new year.
If you are like me, you will start clipping and saving those Tyson Project A+ labels now! Need an excuse to collect labels? Visit one of the fun kids Tyson chicken recipe ideas above or make Tyson Cordon Bleu Chicken Mice with the recipe provided below.
- Tyson Anytizers Chicken Cordon Bleu
- Black beans, cooked, sliced in half for eyes
- Veggie medley
- Cook the Tyson Anytizers Chicken Cordon Bleu according to the directions
- Slice the roots off of the radishes and insert into the chicken pieces as shown in the picture below.
- Cut little triangles out of the radish coins to insert as the ears. The points the triangle piece missing will help the ears to stay in the chicken
- Cut a black bean in half to use as the eyes
- Put the mice on a veggie medley as a garden
