When you choose to live in the south, there are a lot of advantages. We have lots of great cultural places to visit, our school system is top notch and we do not see much snow. My kids were almost in middle school before they had ever seen any snowflakes! One of the perks which is also a drawback about living in the south is the heat. We are known to wear shorts and flip flops into December and January. We almost seamlessly move from the winter months straight to spring and into summer. One of the staples we have in our pantries are a variety of teas as we are big tea drinkers here in the south. I grew up drinking sweet tea and I love to include some fresh fruit to add to the flavor. There is nothing more refreshing on a hot day than a glass of iced tea.
Because we drink a lot of iced tea, it made sense to have an iced tea maker in the house. I was sent the amazing Iced Tea Maker from Capresso. With this fantastic small kitchen appliance, I can make a variety of iced teas, including my favorite, fresh fruit teas. You can brew an entire 2.5 quart pitcher of tea in just minutes and can serve it in the beautiful glass pitcher. With the removable permanent filter, you can use loose or tea bags and you can adjust the strength from mild to strong. The glass pitcher is dishwasher safe as well is the basket and filter.
You can add either fresh or frozen fruit and the machine comes with 18 delicious recipes, including Blackberry Hibiscus Iced Tea, Refreshing Mint Green Tea and Fresh Peach Iced Tea. I decided to make the Raspberry Peppermint Sweet Iced Tea Recipe as it sounded so refreshingly different to me! Be sure to follow Capresso on Twitter. One USA reader will win one Capresso Iced Tea Machine ARV $60.
