Recipe Boxes for Kids

Recipe Boxes for Kids

KittyKat and TheHenMan are learning to cook, so I wanted to find recipe boxes for kids so they could begin collecting favorite recipes.   Each of the kids got a baking set from Santa and ChooChoo personalized a denim apron for each of them.  While ChooChoo and I helped our new chefs make cookies, we decided we needed to pass down some family recipes for them.  I wanted to find a recipe holder that was cute but functional.  I was going to make one myself, but as I am a little craft challenged I thought it would be best if I bought them.  Almost every recipe box I found was aimed at adults.  Don’t get me wrong, I am an adult cook myself but I wanted  something that had some kid inspired personality to it.

I was about to give up on my search when I came across the most adorable family owned online store.  This mother-daughter team from the Northeast sells the most unique, colorful and very well made products.  I was impressed that each item they sell passes the standards of the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM)   You can easily see the inspiration for their creations are deeply rooted in the love they have for their families, homes and art.  Each item Tatutina creates is functional, clever and fun.  The mission of Tatutina is to bring you unique items that reflect a happy and fun lifestyle and it clearly is shown in their work.bookends for kids 2

Book ends for Kids

Not only did Tatutina send me their ingenious recipe box (valued at $25.00) but they also sent me their Robot Book ends for kids.  The kids and I were so distracted by the wonderfully bold colors of the recipe box; it took us a moment to notice its clever design.  It is a stove!!!  It is complete with a dial on the top, a pot holder on the side and a pie in the oven!  ADORABLE!  I have never seen anything as cute and original as this recipe box.  The precious robot bookend are just the perfect addition to TheHenMans room.  Shortly after he opened the box, he had his Wimpy Kids books  nesteled in betwwen these cute little space guys.  The kids and I could not wait to add some family favorites to our new recipe holder.

One lucky winner will receive one recipe box (valued at $25.00) and one set of bookends (valued at $32.00) of the winner’s choice from Tatutina.
