Our dog Fenway is 10 years old and has spent his whole life getting stressed during fireworks and when ever we leave the house.  This is not a fun position for our Boston Terrier to be in without having any sort of coping mechanism in place.  We brought a new kitten into our home as well, which has added an environmental change to our home causing Fenway some consternation.  Thankfully we were recently introduced to Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® for dogs, which wonderful for reducing stress in a dog.

Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® is a Dog Appeasing Pheromone, which helps to reduce stressed behavior due to thunderstorms, loud noises such as fireworks, adjusting to a new environment, transitions, being left alone or traveling.  It can also help control excessive barking, destructive digging, chewing, and house soiling.  As well as help manage nighttime whining during puppy transition from the shelter/breeder to a new home.

Since this product specifically helps many of the fears Fenway has, it has been a real treat for us and for him to use the Comfort Zone® products.  Although we have not seen full relief from his triggers, we also have not used it for the recommended 90 days yet either.  They say to allow at least the 90 days to see the full effect in your dog.

With the holidays quickly descending upon us, we will start being in and out of the house all the time without being able to maintain any type of routine.  The change in routine and the constant in-and-out of the house, in addition to stressors he already battles with, throws Fenway for a loop.   I am glad we started with the Comfort Zone® with D.A.P.® for dogs now.
