Some of the biggest purchases most of us will make in our lives is for our cars. I don’t know about you, but I’ve actually driven off the car lot with a brand new car, and I wasn’t even that excited about it. Usually, I choose a car because of it’s good gas mileage, dependability, warranty, safety features, and (of course) price. I’ve never had the coolest looking or most fun car, but that’s because I’m a mom and I try to be practical. I’ve always figured that I need to settle on a boring car in order to get the practical features I need. Well, I’ve discovered that I can be practical and stylish with Scion cars! Scion isn’t the biggest auto brand out there, but they aren’t trying to be either. They’re trying to change the car industry by making quality, reliable cars with the features people look for at a price that won’t break the bank. Now, my favorite car of theirs is the Scion FR-S. I know, I know. It’s not exactly what I would buy right now with kids and pets and everything, but that’s the kind of car I’m buying when the kiddo is out of the house and I can buy a sportier car for myself. And for a sporty car, the $24,930 MSRP starting price is actually really reasonable when you consider what one of it’s counterparts from another brand might cost. If I were in the market for a new car right now, I think one of the first ones I would check out would be the 2012 Scion xD. It’s considered a hatchback, which means it’s got great cargo space for all of the kid stuff and groceries, but the gas mileage is closer to that of a car, which is exactly what I’m looking for now that gas is nearing $4.00 a gallon. Plus, since all of their vehicles are engineered with safety in mind, I’ll have peace of mind that me and my kids will be safe, even in a dangerous situation on the road.
The next time I’m in the market for a new (or certified pre-owned) car, Scion is going to be one of my first stops. The last time I purchased a car, I wasn’t very aware of the brand so I didn’t even consider them, and now I’m wishing I had. Knowing what I know now about their great prices, stylish cars, awesome optional features, and safety precautions puts them at the top of my list! Test drive one today and I’ll bet you’ll be sold as well!
